Naomi Growing Her Miracle
Ever since I was a little girl there were two things that I wanted to be in this life. Pregnant (tick) and a woman in her thirties. They just seem to have it altogether. This air of confidence about where they have been, the tribe they have built around them and where they are travelling in life.
They are full of gratitude and appreciation for their bodies, what they are capable of and what they can create. This is what I have always wanted to be, a confident mumma who knows her place in the world and with a gentleness grabs it with one hand while she feeds her family with the other.
This is exactly who I picture when I think of who I wanted to be. Naomi. She’s university educated, has fallen in love with a kind man that compliments her wicked sense of human, owns her own artisan homemade dog treat business (www.thebrisbanebarkery.com) and her beauty has always seemed so simple, so honest.
Now that she is bringing her own daughter into this world, she is absolutley beaming with hope. She has that day dream look about her wondering what her little cherub will look like when she first meets her. Full of wonderment for the next beautiful step in her life.
I cried shooting this session. Naomi reminded me what it was like to be pregnant. The not knowing, the anticipation, the quiet excitement. She carries her child so well, better than I did in all of my happy teariness during this session.
